Strengthening Families Program

Aug 1, 2017

Families with 10-14 year olds: is your family struggling? Do you wish you had some help?

The FREE Strengthening Families 10-14 Program is a great opportunity for parents and their pre-teens or young teens to reconnect and build communication. The program focuses on the importance of goals, dreams, rules, values, empathy and joint problem solving.

During each class, participants learn through experience, participating together in a number of activities. Each week, families arrive and spend time having a meal together. Parents and teens separate for an hour to spend time focusing on what it’s like to be either a parent or a teen.

The program ends with an hour-long family session, giving parents and youth an opportunity to discuss their family’s values, what’s important to them, and to develop habits that keep building a strong, positive, important family bond. There are several opportunities to participate in this fun, strength-building program this summer.

FREE family dinner & childcare (ages 1-9) provided. This is a video-based 7-week program with lots of activities. Also, a drawing for a $25 gift card will be held each week!
