Health Disparities

Our health disparities services help to improve the education of and access to health care while removing barriers that may be found in our community. Health disparities are found all throughout nearly any community, so it’s important for the Health Project to focus on helping Muskegon and Oceana Counties. Assisting with health disparities for low-income or special emphasis populations is accomplished through programs specifically designed to meet the needs of these populations:

  • African American Diabetics
  • Homeless individuals
  • Parolees
  • Women in the early stage of pregnancy
  • Men at risk for diseases like prostate cancer
  • Hispanics
  • The indigent uninsured
