What Are They?
Coalitions are groups of community members who have rallied around a particular health issue such as underage drinking, teen pregnancy, drug use, or end of life care. Each coalition creates a strategic plan to target their specific issue. This involves ensuring resources are available to help those in need, delivery of health services, education of community members, events, and much more. They also gather data and provide reports to the Health Project that are used to measure the effectiveness of each effort in order to maximize the available funding and, ultimately, improve quality of life in the community.
Take a look at all of our coalitions and see what a great impact people are having on their community! The Health Project works diligently to serve both Muskegon and Oceana Counties.
